THE SCREENING ROOM
Thoughts, rants, and recommendations on underground cinema, queer film, and cult classics.
964 Pinocchio
Crazy proto-cyberpunk Movie with tons of running and vomit. The atomosphere is off the charts in this film with plenty of practical effects, guerilla shots, and kick ass music.
House (1977)
A sureal masterpiece that is all subtextually about the struggles of growing up as a woman in japan.
Alien (1979)
An absolute classic feminist psychosexual Sci-fi Horror masterpiece. The Xenomorph is wonderful and so is Ripley's character.
The Thing (1982)
Regarded as one of the best horror films and deservedly so. Its paranoia inducing at first watch and you can feel the cold from the screen. The practical effects are outstanding and have lasted the test of time
La Haine (1995)
Trainspotting (1996)
Marriage Story (2019)
The Lobster (2015)
Birdman (2014)
Daisies (1966)
It's Such a Beautiful Day (2012)
Swallow (2019)
Strange Days (1995)
The Wolf House (2018)
Take Out (2004)
Interface (2022)
